LOCAL authorities are continuing with daily disinfection and sanitisation of public areas.
They include markets, roadblocks, police stations and community halls.
Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) president Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said work starts as early as 7am and ends 1pm.
“The markets in Dengkil, Salak, Sepang and Sungai Pelek are disinfected and sanitised on rotational basis.
“The areas cleaned include door and refrigerator handles, tables and chairs, walls, floors, goods boxes, rubbish bins, drawers and chicken processing area as well as entrance and exit points.
Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) has identified 86 areas to be repeatedly disinfected and sanitised according to a schedule.
MPKj public relations officer Kamarul Izlan Sulaiman said the areas include Menara MPKj, multipurpose community halls, public markets, food courts and public toilets.
“MPKj will also take legal action against factory operators who are still running their business despite being categorised as non-essential or have no approval from the International Trade and Industry Ministry,” he said.
