PETALING JAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will open its counters for licence renewal of public, commercial goods and tourist transport vehicles.
It said the service would begin from April 29 and the counters would be open from 8am to 1pm.
“The JPJ counters will only deal with matters such as renewal of the driving licence for commercial vehicles, renewal of driving licence and vocational licence and for settling summons payments, as well as blacklisting issues.
“Instructions to open up other services by JPJ will only be issued based on the updates of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the government’s decision on the movement control order (MCO), ” JPJ said in a statement yesterday.
The public are also urged to follow the MCO regulations and those coming to the JPJ counters should abide by the guidelines.
JPJ added that it was always committed to providing service to the people, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
