Thailand reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday (April 24) with no new deaths. Since the outbreak in January, the total number of cases has reached 2,854 and 50 deaths.
In the new case, 9 cases were related to the previous case, and 2 cases had no known links.
Taweesin Wisanuyothin, a spokesman for the government’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration, said that four other new cases have been reported in the southern province of Yala. The country ’s authorities are actively testing the population because of the high infection rate there.
Since the outbreak 2,490 patients have recovered and gone home.
