Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan told Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday (April 28) that Singapore will continue to take care of the well-being of Chinese migrant workers here, including providing them with necessary medical and treatment.
Dr. Balakrishnan spoke to Wang, China’s State Councillor and Minister for Foreign Affairs, over the phone, said the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
During the call, the two ministers expressed appreciation for the mutual support and effective cooperation between Singapore and China during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they also welcome discussions between the two countries to gradually resume economic activities and exchanges.
Both parties stated that they reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining connectivity in the supply chain, especially in medical supplies and food.
