On Friday, five Chinese companies donated a total of 600,000 masks to help anti-virus work in six ASEAN countries. This was transported from Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China.
The six countries are Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Hoang Ngoc Vinh, the Vietnamese Consul General in Nanning, said that Chinese private companies have been very active in helping ASEAN fight Covid-19.
Previously, Chinese companies donated anti-virus supplies to Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar.
