The Mufti Department of Perlis published on Saturday (May 16) the guidelines for the celebration of Hari Raya Festival in the state during the conditional movement control order (CMCO).
The Perlis Islamic Affairs and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) said in a statement that the guide has been approved by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.
The statement said: “It was made after taking into account the views issued by the Perlis Fatwa Committee and the Ministry of Health (MOH). ”
It said that this year ’s Raya prayers in the state will not be performed in mosques, but in homes with family members.
The guidelines include “takbir”, prayer, sermons, Sunat’s customs, and the obligation of individuals to pay tithes.
