The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced that there are another 140 work permit holders who have their work permits revoked after violating circuit breaker (CB) measures, residence notices (SHN) and isolation orders (QO).
Let’s go back to the Robertson Quay incident first
It is understood that the work permits of these people who have worked for Robertson Quay have been cancelled.
Of the 140 people, 42 were found outside their residence while serving their SHN and QO.
During the circuit breaker, 98 people were found to have violated safety isolation measures.
Most of these people were found to be eating, drinking, and gathering in public.
These activities take place in different locations, such as: dormitories, private residential areas, East Coast Park and Robertson Quay.
This includes six work permit holders who were punished on June 25, 2020 for violating circuit breaker measures.
It would be naive if you think it is so simple to cancel the pass! These people have been permanently banned from working in Singapore.
The Ministry of Manpower stated that it will continue to take enforcement actions against work permit holders who do not meet the requirements, including revocation of work permits, regardless of the nationality of the work permit holder and the type of document.
