‘Surprise’ baby hidden in womb by two tumours

A 45-YEAR-OLD woman who underwent surgery to remove two tumours was stunned to find out that she has also been carrying a baby.

Eight-day-old Nur Iman Amani Widodo was described by her family as a “miracle child” as her mother Sanisah Abu Bakar was not aware of the pregnancy until Iman was born through surgery on June 19, reported Metro Ahad.

“The doctor at the hospital in Melaka did a scan but could not detect the baby in my wife’s womb then. They only detected two tumours, ” said Widodo Sinasim.

“The doctor removed the tumours weighing 500 and 800g through surgery but was shocked to find a baby in her womb, ” he said.

Widodo said he and his wife, as well as their five children, aged between six and 19, were delighted by Iman’s surprise arrival.

Nurfadhilah Mat Nasir, 37, who learnt the recipe from her mother, said the smell of the rambai leaves was what created the dessert’s distinct appeal.

“This is why it is often served during festivals or events in Johol, ” she said, as reported by Sinar Ahad.

“Usually, this dessert is made in large quantities for big occasions.

“We don’t even have to buy the leaves because there are many growing around the village, ” said Nurfadhilah.
