Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, is one of the top smartphone manufacturers in the world. However, its recent troubles with the American government is disrupting its business. Nevertheless, the company is still developing new products. In fact, its smartphone business seems to be doing better. Now, recent reports claim that the company is preparing to release new smart wearable products.
According to a recent report, Huawei will release a new smart band as well as a smartwatch soon. Furthermore, the report shows that the Huawei band codename is “Fides”. In addition, the smartwatch codename is “Stia”. Unfortunately, there is currently no information about the upcoming products.
Earlier today, there were reports that Huawei’s Hongmeng OS 2.o will come with innovative features. This system will probably arrive with the Huawei EMUI 11 update in Q3 2020. The innovative features should support Huawei PCs, smart bands, smartwatches, automobiles, etc. There are also reports that Huawei plans to release a Mate Watch in the second half of the year. Earlier this year, Huawei submitted a trademark application called “Mate Watch”.
Huawei’s latest smart bands are the Honor Band 5 as well as the Huawei Band 4 Pro. Both band comes with a 0.95-inch AMOLED display and supports 50m water resistance. However, the Huawei Band 4 Pro comes with more features than the Honor Band 5. While the Honor Band 5 arrived in August 2019, the Huawei Band 4 Pro was launched in December.
