TWO-TIME Olympic badminton gold medallist Lin Dan’s (pic) affair with model-actress Zhao Yaqi has become a trending topic again following his recent retirement, China Press reported.

Unable to accept the online vitriol targeted at her, Zhao retorted with an angry post about men having extra-marital affairs.

“Please control yourself. Please have a sense of responsibility and do not get single women into trouble! I know the world outside (your marriage) is exciting but if you’re married, please stop right there, ” she wrote on Weibo on Monday.

Zhao admitted that she made a mistake and managed to “pull the brakes in time” but still had to bear the consequences of her actions.

She denied exploiting her relations with Lin Dan to boost her acting career.

“I’m no longer inside (showbiz). In the past few years, I’ve worked hard on my career which I love, have a stable relationship and I’m currently enjoying my life, ” she wrote.

In 2016, Lin Dan, who is married to retired badminton player Xie Xingfang, was photographed kissing and hugging Zhao from outside a hotel window in Beijing.

Lin Dan and Zhao have publicly apologised and Xie had also written that she forgave her husband.

> A 24-year-old woman in Beijing caused 204 close contacts to go into isolation after she broke quarantine to satisfy a craving for ramen, Oriental Daily reported.

The woman named Xie, who was suspected to have contracted Covid-19, left her house for a bowl of ramen in Beijing’s Shijingshan district when she received a call informing her that she tested positive.“I’m so sad! I didn’t know, ” the woman was heard saying after she broke down crying in front of the ramen shop.
